If ever I’m asked to list my wardrobe staples, a simple grey crew neck sweatshirt will always be included in that list. It’s an integral part of my wardrobe- I team with denim and converse for a relaxed everyday look, a black leather skirt and heels for a sexy but not tried too hard evening look and it’s been working well for me during lockdown- whether I’ve pulled it on for a morning dog walk, wearing whilst I work from home with my joggers or teamed with my leather trousers for a more pulled together look- an oversized grey crew neck sweatshirt is the one item I couldn’t do without. Buying a men’s style is a good way to ensure a slouchy, relaxed fit- try Sunspel or Arket on the high street, or shop vintage– the more lived-in and worn the better! I’m not sure if my love affair for the perfect grey sweatshirt began with SJP or with Danny Zuko but one thing is for sure, it will forever be a wardrobe staple of mine.
