I loved the dad trainer from the start and hunted down the Balenciaga Triple S and still wear them to death over a year later (many predicted this trend wouldn’t last) but the dad sandal, I took a little convincing.

Yes, I admired the Chanel Leather Sandals and thought they looked great, but would I shell out that sort of cash on a chunky sandal that could quickly become a distant fashion memory?

Same with the sell-out Prada leather-trimmed sandal- not even the blush pink and red combo could convince me that these are a flattering option. However, last week while browsing matchesfashion.com I came across ‘Arizona Love‘, a dad sandal I can finally get on board with.

At £100, although not cheap, a hell of a lot more purse-friendly than Chanel. With Leopard Print, Shells and Vintage Bandana prints they add a little something to a simple summer dress and not to mention they are super comfortable.

An unlikely trend that is functional as well as fashionable- I’m now a dad sandal convert. I’ll be wearing mine with pretty dresses & cropped jeans & a tee all summer long.
